We all know that Android tablets and phones have only a few buttons, and the only way you can turn the tablet on, is by pressing on the power button. Yet, what if that does not work?
Do not panic if you ever experience this kind of situation; Android devices can refuse to turn on or wake up at times, and this does not mean that your tablet is broken. The easy tips that are shared below will help you boot up your device again.
It is possible for the electronic devices to become stuck in power off mode. In such situation, the power button of the device will not work as the device is frozen and you will have to remove the battery of the device, wait for a few seconds, re-insert the battery, and then try to turn it on again.
Removing the battery from the device will remove all power from the device, which is called as resetting the power cycle. Even if your device does not have a removable battery, you can perform a power cycle reset. For that, you need to hold down the power button of the device for ten seconds.
If it is not working yet, hold down the power button longer, as some Android users have reported the need to hold down the button for more than 30 seconds. However, if your tablet does not turn on with this step, move on to the next step.
If your device is not turning on and nothing happens when you press down the power button, even for 30 seconds, the battery of the device can be out of juice. In such an instance, you need to plug-in the device and allow it to charge for at least ten minutes before trying to turn it on again.
If the battery of the device is completely drained, it will not boot immediately after plugging in the charger. Let the device charge for some time and then try to turn it on. If the device is not turning on even then, long press the power button for ten seconds and see if it works.
If none of the above steps helps you fix the issue, you will need to perform a factory reset of the device. However, as the device is not turning on, you will not able to do that on your own. Instead, you will need to get help from an Android tablet technician to do a factory reset of the device.
