Most of the new Android tablets that are available in the market now have more internal storage space than older Android tablets. However, Android tablet users who have settled for budget models often complain that the storage space of their device is running out at a rapid pace.

If you are a person, who has plenty of HD video contents, pictures, music files, and apps on his/her device, then the storage space in your tablet is sure to run out eventually. However, the good news is that most of the Android tablets have a dedicated slot for MicroSD memory cards, which means that you can expand the storage capacity of your device by simply inserting a memory card into the device.

Yet again, Android tablet users with an internal storage memory of 16 GB recently stated that installing a MicroSD card did enable them to move their video, music, and other files to the memory card. However, the drawback is that they are still not able to move the applications in their tablet to the memory card.

It is significant to note that not all Android tablets allow you to move an installed app to the memory card in your device. In addition, it is impossible to move some apps and games to the external MicroSD card, particularly games. So, you must consider about uninstalling a few apps or games if you are no longer using them. If you still want more storage space on your tablet, below is how to move apps on an Android tablet to a MicroSD card.

  • Go to the Settings menu of your Android tablet and gently tap Apps by scrolling down.
  • Select any one of the apps that you wish to move to the MicroSD card in your device and then click the Storage
  • If you see a Change option, gently tap it to move the app to your memory card.

Users who are unable to see this option should check whether you are able to see the option with the other apps in your tablet or not. If you are still not able to see the Change option, then it means that your device does not support the feature. If this is the situation, then you will have to uninstall apps from your device to free up the internal storage space.
