Android is a powerful operating system that has many tools and configuration options, but we only use some of the most useful features of the OS. Some of the features are buried so deep that average users will never find these features. However, this does not mean that you should let the killer features get away. Some of the interesting features of the Android operating system are explained below.
Android Device Manager
The Google Play Services manages all the back end services of the OS and it is frequently updated in the background. There are many functionalities packed away in the framework and some of them are malware scanning, account sync, and the Android Device Manager. This framework allows you to ring, track, lock, and wipe all the data from your device.
By default, the user can ring and locate the device with Android Device Manager and if you wish to take advantage of the full features, you will need to go to Settings and select Security. Now you need to find the Device Administrator options to see which all apps have been granted admin privileges on the tablet.
Many of the Android users have resorted to rooting their devices to get access to the more advanced features. Android versions have gained features slowly, making rooting less of a necessity. However, Android 5.0 Lollipop OS supports screen recording without rooting. You just need to use an app that helps you take proper advantage of the feature.
Screen recording will offer an MP4 video file of what is happening on the screen of the Android device. Unfortunately, there are no native tools that can help you capture the screen of your Android tablet, but you can find many apps in the Play Store.
System Animations to Warp Speed
You can make your Android device fast with a simple tweak. You just need to enable the developer options menu. This can be done by selecting About, then Software Information, More, and then, Build Number. Tap on the build number many times until it is shown on the bottom of the screen that you are a developer. This will turn on the Developer Options menu in the settings list.
The Developer Options page will offer many interesting features, but you may mess things up if you do not use the options with care. Better to leave the amateur tweaking behind when on the Developer Options page.
